About Attleboro


Attleboro was settled in 1634 and originally incorporated in1694 and is now comprised of apx. 27.7 square miles.Originaly it included the towns of Cumberland, RI until 1747 and North Attleboro, MA  until 1887.  The city became know for jewelry manufacturing in 1913 particularly because of L.G. Balfour Company and later became know as  ' The Jewelry Capital of the World".  As of 2024 there ar an estimated 47,085 residence, comprising of 18,256 households. Attleboro is a city rich in history, conveniently located on the I-95 corridor just 15 minutes from Providence and apx. 40 minutes from Boston. Because of its location, Attleboro offers exceptional value for housing and ease of commute options to surrounding cities.

Schools 

Attleboro offers five elementary schools, three middle schools, and two high schools.

The new Attleboro High School (AHS) opened a new $270 million dollar building in 2022 which also has a state of the art vocational school and the ofption of Bishop Feehan, which is a private school.  Athletically, both high schools have outstanding athletic facilities and have produced state champions in many sports.
